John Pule

We have been looking at Pacific artists and the symbols they  use in their art. On Friday Room 12 went to the Grey Lynn shops to look at the mural that John Pule  painted.  We looked at all the symbols he's used . We drew the designs that we liked.  We will design our own piece using these artists as inspiration.

  1. Hi Room 12,

I liked your video because it looked great and all of you were focused on your learning very well. What kinds of things are you going to design when you have finished? We would love to see more about your art!

  2. Hi room 12! I like the way you copied the artist. How did you copy the artist? Was it fun going on a class trip? I am looking forward to seeing your art.

  3. Hi Room 12,

I just learnt something new! Cooper was telling me about John Pule at lunchtime today and now your slideshow has shown me some of his artwork... I am definitely going to check out his murals in Grey Lynn.

  4. Hi Room 12,

I took a whole lots of photos of Room 11 sketching John Pule's mural just like Kerry and Sandie did!

Wasn't it great seeing more of his work at the Art Gallery? Which was your favorite work?

  5. I love how Grey Lynn has it's own peice of John Pule and I really enjoyed seeing more of his work at the gallery with room 13. I liked his big Blue piece, I thought it was very beautiful and restful. How about you?
